I used to think that gaming was just a hobby. In fact, I thought it was mostly a waste of time and money, but today I read an article about how competitive video gamers are now part of the sports program at an American university. According to the Pittsburg Post-Gazette, students at Robert Morris University Illinois can get scholarships and participate in online competitions. Members of their team even get jackets and sweatshirts as though they were playing any of the traditional sports. Now, I think that, just even though gaming is not a traditional sport, it may have strengths of its own.
